Sophia
Hello everyone my name is Sophia. I’m a Year 12 student at the International School of Monaco. I’m half Dutch, half Moroccan, and speak English, French, and Dutch fluently, while continuing to study Spanish. I chose to participate in TEDxYouth@ISMonaco because I see it as a powerful platform to grow, connect, and share ideas that matter. My talk focuses on first impressions — how they shape our interactions, influence perception, and often define opportunity. In a world that moves fast and judges faster, I wanted to explore what we really communicate in those first few seconds, and why it matters more than we think.

Hello my name is Mia and I am a year eleven student at the international school of Monaco. I have been doing TED X youth at ISM for almost three years now, although I have been a student here for much longer. TED X youth has allowed me to discover the power my words hold, and allowed me to feel truly confident when speaking in front of crowds, no matter the size . I am very passionate about this years theme, the power of perspective, and look forward to hearing from all the speakers at the event. Most importantly, I hope through the TED X talks, at least one spectator will view something in a new light, considering all the perspectives.
