IMAM NASSER HUSSEIN
Imam Nasser Hussein Alrubi serves as an Imam, teacher, and Qari at Islamic Foundation. A professionally trained Qari with over 25 years of experience, he has led prayers internationally, including leading Taraweeh globally in Europe, Africa, and North America. Prior to serving at Islamic Foundation, Imam Nasser stood as Principal of Al-Azhar Institute in Bani Suif, Egypt and has trained numerous huffadh as part of their Al-Azhar Hifdh training program. He also remains active in educational initiatives and conferences across the U.S. and abroad.

SHAYKH HAROON AHMED
Shaykh Haroon Ahmed is a scholar of Arabic and Islamic Studies dedicated to renewing faith and reason in contemporary Muslim life. As Founder and Director of Iqra Academy, he is Head of THIQA at Islamic Foundation School, Assistant to the President at Darul Qasim College, and Founder of IDEAL Foundation. Prior to his service at Islamic Foundation, Shaykh Haroon served as an Imam in Bolingbrook, Resident Scholar at Masjid Uthman, and is currently pursuing advanced post-ʿAlimiyyah studies.

HAFIDH MUJTABA MOHIUDDIN
Hafidh Mujtaba completed his memorization under the guidance of Qari Abdul Mannan Saahib and has since spent the past 13 years teaching Hifdh full-time. He has furthered his own studies with two years of formal Islamic education at Darul Qasim College and is currently pursuing an ijazah in the Qira'ah of Hafs 'an 'Asim under Mawlana Arif Kamal. He also serves as Maktab Director at Beacon House Preparatory School, overseeing its Qur'an and Islamic Studies program.
As Hifdh Director at Iqra Academy, Hafidh Mujtaba's vision is to build a program rooted in excellence, sincerity, and ihsan, working alongside a team of dedicated instructors who share his passion for the Qur'an and his commitment to nurturing every student with wisdom, patience, and high standards.

HAFIDH UBAID SHAIKH
Hafiz Ubaid Shaikh is an educational leader, mentor, and student development professional born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his Hifz of the Qur'an in 2009 in Des Plaines and has dedicated his career to nurturing students academically, spiritually, and personally. Throughout his career, Hafiz Ubaid has served in various leadership and educational roles, including Dean of the Full-Time Hifz Program at Uthman Academy and currently serving as Dean of Student Culture & IQRA Academy Tarbiyyah within Islamic Foundation School. His work focuses on developing strong educational systems, mentoring students, supporting teachers, and building a culture centered around excellence, character development, and student growth.
HIFDH
Hafidh Mujtaba completed his memorization under the guidance of Qari Abdul Mannan Saahib and has since spent the past 13 years teaching Hifdh full-time, guided by the belief that true success in memorization is built on quality, precision, and consistency — strong retention paired with accurate recitation, proper Tajwid, and a sincere love for the Book of Allah. He has furthered his own studies with two years of formal Islamic education at Darul Qasim College and is currently pursuing an ijazah in the Qira'ah of Hafs 'an 'Asim under Mawlana Arif Kamal. He also serves as Maktab Director at Beacon House Preparatory School, overseeing its Qur'an and Islamic Studies program.
Mufti Omer Abdul Aziz completed his Hifz under the guidance of Qari Abdul Mannan at Suffah Educational Guidance in 2011. Concurrently with his High School degree, he enrolled in the esteemed ʿAlimiyya program at DarusSalam Seminary and graduated with high honors in 2022. To further his specialization, he was accepted into the prestigious Ifta program at Darul Iftaa Chicago, and graduated as a Mufti in 2024. Currently, Mufti Omer offers his services at various Masajid in the Chicagoland area, regularly delivering Khutbahs and serving the local community. He also worked as a substitute Hifz teacher and weekend Advanced Fiqh program teacher at DarusSalam Seminary, as well as Maktab instructor at Masjid Al Safa (ISNS) and Islamic Society of Addison (ISA).
Alimah Ayesha is a dedicated Hifz Instructor and Qur'an Education Leader with over 20 years of experience teaching Qur'an memorization, Tajweed, and Islamic Studies to students of all ages. Before joining Iqra Academy, Alimah Ayesha has served as the Dean of the Hifz and Islamic Studies Programs at Masjid Uthman, providing academic leadership, overseeing curriculum implementation, mentoring teachers, monitoring student progress, and developing structured learning programs. Passionate about inspiring a love for the Qur'an while nurturing strong Islamic character, Alimah Ayesha teaches with discipline to motivate her students towards lifelong learning.
Alimah Khadija has dedicated over 13 years of her life to teaching the Qur'an, and it shows in the love and care she brings to every class. She completed her Alimiyyah degree as well as her own Hifdh of the Qur'an at Darul Uloom Chicago, building a strong foundation in the Islamic sciences that she now shares with her students every day. She is currently furthering her own Qira'ah studies as well, pursuing her Ijazah in Hafs 'An Asim through Darul Qasim College. For Alimah Khadija, Hifdh has always been about more than memorization. She's passionate about helping each student build a real, personal connection with the Quran and teaches with patience, encouragement, and a deep interest in their success.

As Imam and teacher at Islamic Foundation, Villa Park, Sheikh Nasser has over 25 years of experience teaching Quran, Islamic Studies & Arabic, and leading prayers worldwide. He is a professional Qari and stood as principal of Al-Azhar institute in Bani Suif, Egypt. He has significant experience training and teaching many huffadh as part of an extended Al-Azhar Hifz teaching program. In addition, Sheikh Nasser has participated in many conferences, Quran competitions, and assembly of Imams and Islamic Schools.
Hafidh Osman is a native of Magadishu, Somalia, where his grandparents migrated from Yemen. He began his Quranic studies under the tutelage of Sheikh Ali Al-Munassar Al-Hadrami and memorized the Quran at the age of 9. He’s been teaching Quran at IF since 2009 and founded ICNA Chicago’s Quran Memorization Program in 2012. Hafidh Osman has graduated over 45 huffadh, many of whom lead Taraweeh all over the country. His teaching style combines high quality instruction with a welcoming environment to help students thrive.
Hafidh Jawad Karim is a dedicated educator and scholar of the Islamic tradition. A Hafidh of the Quran, he completed his formal memorization at Darul Huda in New Jersey. He later pursued a year abroad in Mauritania studying classical Islamic texts and is an ongoing student at Darul Qasim under their Islamic sciences and seminary curriculum. He has been a dedicated Qur’an and Hifdh instructor for nine years and has demonstrated significant leadership in youth development, specifically through his work with Young Muslims National.
Ustadha Asma was born in Pakistan and raised in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. She completed four years of Islamic studies at Darul-Islah in New Jersey and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies from the Islamic Online University in Qatar in 2010. She has been teaching the Qur’an for over 20 years, through both private and group classes at various masjids and within her own home. In 2016, Ustadha Asma began her Hifdh journey through online classes with Masjid An-Nabawi and has received an Ijazah for 5 ajza so far.
Ustadha Anhar Abuyacub is a passionate and dedicated teacher that holds a certification in Qur'anic Tajweed from her studies of the Qur'anic Arabic language. Her vast experience includes teaching Qur'an, Islamic Studies, and Arabic at the Islamic Center of Wheaton, along with Hifdh and Nadhirah/Tilawah at our Islamic Foundation Sunday School. Her beautiful recitation aids her in working with older students as well in their memorization of the Qur'an. Alongside her Islamic credentials, Ustadha Anhar also holds a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
PATHWAYS TO IJAZAH
After completing his Hifdh at the age of 13, Qari Muhammad Hamid pursued higher Islamic studies at DarusSalam Seminary and the Institute of Islamic Education (IIE). He later completed his studies and graduated with honors from Darul Uloom Azaadville in South Africa. Throughout his studies, Qari Muhammad Hamid received numerous Ijazat in the Ten Qira'at and multiple texts of Tajwīd and Qira'att and has mastered 70 Maqamat. He currently serves as a full-time instructor at DarusSalam Foundation and tutors at various levels of Quranic studies.
Ustadha Mansour has been blessed to teach Arabic and Qur'an for over 20 years at Islamic Foundation School. She currently teaches Qur’anic recitation at the Islamic Center of Wheaton. In 2025, she completed a four-year Tajweed & Hifdh program through the Kingdom of Jordan’s Qur'anic Affairs Department. She is now working to complete her memorization of the Qur'an and is pursuing a formal course of study in Hadith. All her expertise and experience working with students of the Qur’an has gifted her with a unique specialization of teaching techniques and strategies.
