COPENHAGEN AND OERESTAD 

About us


We are two students from Ørestad gymnasium (OEG), and we want to make the future more sustainable, starting with getting more people to use collective transportation.  Our names are Stefan and Clara, and besides the climate, we are both interested in sports (running and football) and hangning out with friends 

About Ørestad

Ørestad is a city connected through the entire country with its collective transportation. It has both modern engineering in terms of looks, but also in terms of biodiversity. There is a cinema, resuturants, and many other fun places to hang out with friends. It is very easy to get to the inner parts of Copenhagen with the metro, busses,  bicycles and s-trains. 

Metro

The drive on electricity, and there is no no driver in the metro. They are controlled through the metro headquarters.

S-train

These trains drive on electricity and green energy. It can drive up to 250 km an hour.


Bus

Most of these busses drive on electricity and green energy.

Bicycles

Many people - especially in the summertime - use the bisycle a a transportation method. Copenhagen is known as the biscycle-city, because so many people use it.  You dont have to own one, you can loan them from several diffrent places. Usually the loan-bicycles drive on el, but some are just regular ones. Many people take advantage of this, especially tourists. it is also a great sustainble alternative.
