Intro

Myth is a folklore genre consisting of stories that play a fundamental role in society. The main characters in myths are usually gods, demigods, or supernatural humans. They can reveal deep truths about life and understanding in general.

This unit will feature a wide variety of myths and legends all around the world (from Norse to Chinese to Greek to Cambodian), complemented by discussion questions and a literary term to focus on, which helps the readers to understand the intentions of the author more and for a deeper analysis.

Goal: acquire and use new vocabulary from relevant texts. Employ strategies to comprehend said text and to identify, analyze, and apply knowledge of the structures and elements of literature to your own life.
