In an interactive workshop led by Deep Canvassing you will learn how to have connecting conversations about polarized topics that affect our world today. The aim is not to win arguments or avoid disagreement, but to find shared stories and values, even when opinions differ. Because ultimately, we can disagree and have differing perspectives, but that need not disconnect us!
Join us in learning and practising these important skills of listening closely, speaking respectfully and sharing your views!
In our urban environment there are often too few places where birds can build a nest. In nature, birds like great tits, blue tits, tree creepers, nuthatches, house sparrows, etc. prefer to live in natural cavities. This group of birds is called cavity breeding birds. They make their nests in cavities in a dead tree or even under a roof. Often we have closed all these possible openings to save on energy.
To help our birds, in this workshop you will build your own birdhouse made of sustainable materials, made to last a long time. You will also learn about different bird types living in the Netherlands, and what kind of housing they need. At the end of the workshop you will have your birdhouse to take home and know where to place it so that it meets birds needs.

Climate change doesn't affect everyone equally quickly or equally hard. Did you know, for example, that 80% of climate refugees are women? Your age, gender, and profession can determine how vulnerable you are to the climate crisis. In these guest lectures, we will explore the theme of vulnerability from an intersectional lens and, together, think about a more just world.
We often hear "the polluter pays," which means that those responsible for climate change must do more to combat it. But who is the polluter these days? In this guest lecture, we will discuss responsibility, from countries to companies to ourselves.
This workshop explores how inner peace is the foundation for creating peace in the world. We’ll look at how yoga and mindfulness can help us feel more grounded, reduce stress, and build a deeper sense of trust in ourselves. You’ll learn how regulating your nervous system is key to feeling calm, safe, and in control—and why that matters in everyday life. You’ll leave this workshop feeling empowered, knowing that by taking care of yourself, you are already contributing to a more peaceful world.
