• Pickup: We pick up the children at 14:20 from school and depart to Hellerup Station at 14:30. (We’re open to discussing alternative transport solutions if needed!)

• Hockey Training: From 15:15 to 16:30. Parents pick up children at 16:30 (from HERE); coaches will be present at this time.

BALLET 1 - PYP1-PYP2

This beginning level class is designed to develop awareness of alignment and basic ballet vocabulary and technique. Class will include basic barre exercises, as well as center work. Your child will have a fun time learning the secrets behind becoming a great ballerina!

BALLET 2 - PYP3-PYP5

Come enjoy the excitement and beauty of classical ballet! This class will focus on ballet terminology and technique through the execution of barre work, center, and across the floor exercises. 

Your child will have a clear understanding of body alignment, movement quality, carriage of upper body, and flexibility.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:

Dress code: leotard (any color), footed tights (pink), leather full sole ballet slippers (fitted with room for growth). Skirts are permitted. Hair must be out of the face and if long enough in a ponytail or in a bun.

Day: Wednesday

Time: schedule for different sections will follow, according to the enrollments.

Season: September 2025 – May 2026

Children come and explore Dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes!

What to expect: Hands on experience digging fossils from ground and ice. Children will get to bring their fossils home. Build stories around dinosaurs using movement, crafts, puzzles and creativity.

Work around their life cycles and understand their food habits.

We are happy to announce the PYP Art Club for painting and drawing after school. 

This is for everyone who wants to be creative!

Age Group: PYP students

When: Thursdays from  14:20 to 15:10

Start date: ASAP (after registration).

This is for all students who love making art and want to spend an afternoon with art making and other students in a social setting. We will improve our skills with brushes, pencils and papers. I am going to introduce some different designs, skills and artists and we’ll practise painting and drawing together. I will support everyone in their creative work. 

Bio

I am a teacher of Art in ISH and I love all the creative artforms. I teach most disciplines in art from sculpture and drawing to ceramics. I work as a contemporary artist and I exhibit painting and photography regularly. I am Danish and hold MA’s from The Royal Danish Academy and UCL, London, England, where I lived previously and worked as an artist and educator for 13 years. 

I am looking forward to offering a creative Art Club for the ISH students.

Students will experience football for the first time, improve their motor skills, and learn the fundamental skills and basic techniques.

We aim to provide students with an enjoyable environment where they can feel part of a team and, hopefully, produce experiences and goals that will spark an interest in football or a positive attitude toward team sports.

The students learn in a playful way, using various games to improve mobility and vision.

Location: Football cage

Day: Wednesdays

First group time: 14:30 to 15:15 

Second group time: 15:30 to 16:15 

For Kindergarten and PYP1 students

Price - 800 DKK until December.

Everyone can apply from PRE-K4 to Kindergarten

- During the month of November and March, classes are pending on the weather conditions.

This is the fourth year of running our football club. In the classes, you will learn the basics of football.

Football includes technical aspects - ball control and dribbling, shooting, passing, and defending while having fun.

The training consists of a warmup exercise, a tactical exercise, and, towards the end, a friendly game.

We encourage students to score many goals and assimilate the importance of teamwork and team spirit in football. Primarily, our goal is for football to be fun.

We aim to create an enjoyable and inclusive environment for students to have fun and learn while competing on a moderate and safe level.

Location: Ryparken Idrætsanlæg or P.E hall at instituttet for Blinde og Svagsynede during colder months.

Day: Mondays

From the 19th of August until the 3rd of February – The first week (19/08) is a trial practice, students need to

show up at the Netto gates.

Practice sessions start by meeting at Netto gates at 14:30 and end at 16:00.

Students will be followed from school to the venue.

Everyone can apply from PYP1 to PYP5

Price - 1200 DKK per term.

The capacity is 26 students.

SCRATCH is designed, developed and moderated by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at MIT Media Lab. Students get a change to create animations, games, stories, music and more. No prior knowledge is required. Students MUST bring their own device (BYOD), laptop or ipad.

No downloading required. Scratch accounts will be created to save all the work.

Swimming classes in English for different levels and age groups are organized in collaboration with Hovedstatens Svømmeklub.

The pool is located 5 minutes away from school, at the Blind Institute. Parents must accompany their own children at the class!

Mini tennis classes with ECW Tennis focus on improving students' hand eye coordination and tennis skills in a structured, fun and engaging style. Children will learn the basic shots of the game and be given lots of encouragement to ensure they enjoy what we hope is the

start of their tennis journey.'

This program welcomes children to come and discover the vast world of Science in our everyday life. We plan to work with interesting ideas and understand the role of science. Children will get a chance to be curious, ask questions, conduct simple experiments and record their observations. Children will bring samples of experiments home.

“I LOVE JAPAN” Elective welcomes you to the Land of the Rising Sun, Japan. 

The aim of elective is to help your child come a step closer and understand Japanese culture.

The elective’s aim is at introducing the art of Japanese Tea ceremony along with tasting it. We will practice the art of calligraphy, where we will learn to write our names and birthdates in Japanese script. The elective aims to run around celebrating the themes of spring and the spirit of childhood, with Sakura: cherry blossom art, manga creations, origami, sushi making and DIY Ramen.

Meanwhile, if we learn some simple ways of conversing in Japanese, that will be great too!

No prior knowledge of Japanese is required for the Elective as it is NOT a mother tongue program!
