The first season of MYP Girl's football team.

We aim to create an enjoyable and inclusive environment for students to have fun and learn while competing on a moderate and safe level which will help them on school tournaments. The training consists of a warmup exercise, a tactical exercise, and a friendly game.

Location: Ryparken Idrætsanlæg

Day: Mondays

Practice sessions start by meeting at the pitch at 16:00 and ending the session at 17:30.

From the 19th of August until the 3rd of February – The first week (19/08) is a trial practice, students need to

show up

Price - 1200 DKK per term.

The capacity is 20 students.

The ceramics club continues at ISH. All students are welcome to the class, where we will learn fundamental techniques such as pinch pots and turning on a potters’ wheel. We will also do our own fun and  creative projects with clay and glaze. 

Payments will be arranged after the subscription.

Bio

I am a teacher of Art in ISH Middle School and I love all the creative artforms. I teach the disciplines within art from sculpture and drawing to ceramics. I work as a contemporary artist and exhibit painting and photography regularly. I am born in Denmark and hold a MA from The Royal Danish Academy and UCL, London, where I lived and worked as an artist and educator for more than ten years. 

I am looking forward to offering a creative Art Club for the ISH students.

Got a passion for debating? Join MUN to improve your debating, critical thinking, and public speaking skills. We host weekly practices, where we build our confidence in debating with many real life topics related to all sorts of fields. All of this building up to an MUN conference where many schools from all over the world unite together and debate on solutions to real-life current problems being discussed in the UN. 

When: Thursdays at 3:50-4:40 

Where: Alternating weeks at the Hellerup and City campus 

Grades: MYP4 - DP2 (MYP3 students are welcome from the spring)

Swimming classes in English for different levels and age groups are organized in collaboration with Hovedstatens Svømmeklub.

The pool is located 5 minutes away from school, at the Blind Institute.

Our Multi-Sport club is a seasonal club which allows you the opportunity to participate in as many sports offered as you would like. 

Our Multi-Sport club includes short seasons of Football, Cross-country, Volleyball, Basketball, Dodgeball, Badminton. Each sport season will culminate in an exciting tournament that will showcase your hard work and dedication as you compete against other international schools.

Signing up is not required. You can simply attend our training sessions to be part of the team. Please see the calendar for more information.

The ISH Creative Writing Club provides students with a safe space to explore and expand their creativity and individuality through the written word.  The club offers students an opportunity to learn more about the craft of writing, through “mini-master classes” from Mr. Brendan, and also an open forum for sharing work with fellow students, and to give and receive feedback.  Within this community of writers, all judgment is set aside, and the emphasis is on openness, inclusion, and free expression.

Cardio tennis sessions focus on teaching basic strokes in tennis and are delivered in a fun and active style to ensure the students are enjoying the sessions as well as learning. A ‘cardio tennis' teaching style aims to improve children's ABC's - Agility, Balance & Coordination as well as improving their tennis and caters for beginners to intermediate players.’

The MYP Maths department will offer MYP 1-4 students academic enrichment (extension and support) for mathematics starting from September 9th, 2024 every Monday between 15:15-16:00. This is not compulsory, and it is free!

Here are the allocations:

Room 2.02 - MYP 1-4 with Ms. Sanford: Maths review and homework help. 

Room 2.06 - MYP 1-4 with Ms. Kettunen: Maths extension and preparation for international maths competitions for students excited and ready to take on maths challenges
