Mrs. Godinez "Mrs. G"
This will be (technically) my 7th year teaching IMPACT. Previously I taught elementary Art for 10 years at various schools throughout the district. I love teaching gifted! I was in the gifted program in KCMO when I was in elementary school and greatly enjoyed it. I’m happy to give the same happy memories to your child.
At home I am a mother to my particular and silly 4 year old son, two cats, and a dog. My husband and I live in Independence not too far from Blackburn Elementary. In our spare time we enjoy being in nature, and spending time with family and friends.

This is my third year teaching IMPACT and I am so excited! I always knew I wanted to teach gifted education and now I get to have my dream job. Previously, I taught 3rd grade for 4 years in the Fort Osage School District. However, I grew up in ISD and was in the IMPACT program in elementary and middle school. Being in the program greatly influenced my passion for gifted education.
I come from a big family, but at home it is just me and my pet rabbit, Artemis. In my free time I enjoy crafting, watching movies, and spending time with family. I am also a tour director with EF tours in the summer for middle school and high school students.
