Leopard Gecko
Ms. Collins was able to get a video of Bruni shedding on Wednesday morning (11/16). He shed all of his skin in 25 minutes! Geckos eat their skin for the nutrients. Unlike other lizards, they shed all at once in one big piece. You can see Bruni pulling on it with his mouth and trying to wiggle out of it before eating it.
Ms. Collins and Mrs. G love watching Bruni hunt in the morning. He wiggles his tail before he pounces on his prey, but he only does it when hunting crickets, not mealworms. We think it is quite cute.
