Keshab Acharya is a yogi, educationist, and social leader dedicated to fostering meaningful and sustainable change through education, service, and holistic well-being. He firmly believes that education is the backbone of life and a vital instrument for developing knowledge, wisdom, skills, and human potential, as well as for breaking the persistent cycle of poverty. Guided by this conviction, he has consistently devoted his time, expertise, and resources to advancing educational and social initiatives in Nepal.
Mr. Acharya is the founder, owner and Principal of Tapobhumi School, located in Lokanthali, Bhaktapur, Nepal. He established the school in 2012 with a clear mission to improve the lives of children by making quality, value-based education accessible to all. The school follows an inclusive and socially responsible model, charging nominal fees to families while providing full and partial scholarships to a large number of deserving and underprivileged students. Under his leadership, Tapobhumi School has become a platform for academic excellence, character development, and social equity. He remains actively involved in the school’s administration, teaching, and overall management.
In addition to his work in education, Mr. Acharya serves as the President of the Nepal Volunteers Council, a registered non-governmental organization and charitable institution based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Through this organization, he leads and supports a range of social initiatives, including school-based programs, monastery support, and social research activities aimed at addressing community needs and promoting positive change across Nepal.
Mr. Acharya is also a dedicated practitioner and teacher of yoga, which he regards as a holistic discipline integrating physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of life. He believes that yoga enables individuals to flourish and effectively manage the challenges of an increasingly complex and demanding world.
