While ISD normally maintains an "away for the day" policy, conference attendees are encouraged to bring devices to the event in order to:

Network with peers (Non-school accounts: adult -to - adult; student - to - student only)
Take photographs or video that adhere to GDPR and ISD's safeguarding policies (see below). The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the EU's stringent data privacy and security law. Watch this explainer video.
School delegations may of course have their own device guidelines, so you should confirm with your adult chaperone what the policy will be. Feel free to refer to this webpage and/or have your group leaders contact us.
Please note that some conference spaces will be live streamed – more on that below.
Welcome to our campus, we hope you have an enjoyable time. To support you and your fellow participants, please follow these guidelines while in all spaces of the International School of Düsseldorf:
1. Register upon your arrival.
2. Wear your conference lanyard visibly at all times.
3. Do not take photographs or record videos unless permission has been granted for a specific activity.
4. Do not share your personal contact details or connect on social media between adults and students.
5. Students with Students and Adults with Adults: you are welcome to freely share your personal contact details or connect on social media.
6. If you have any concerns about child/student safety, please speak to an ISD employee.
7. Adults can only use designated employee/adult toilets or inclusive single-occupancy toilets.
8. Students can only use designated student toilets or inclusive single-occupancy toilets.
9. In case of an emergency evacuation, proceed to the emergency meeting point by following the marked evacuation routes and adhering to the directions of ISD employees. If the alarm is sounding for a reason other than evacuation, follow the directions given.
10. Some events will be live-streamed, if you do not wish to be on camera, look for the signs to direct you.
