This class was inspired by the student who read the book Hatchet by Gary Paulsen, and never liked anything else!
The first section of Survival Lit had 18 boys and 1 girl. Six years later, it has grown to 90+ students each year.

Students read a variety of true accounts of survival, many selected from Les Stroud's Will to Live.
Students also have the opportunity to choose their own survival accounts to read, selected from True Grit by Bear Grylls.
