COURSE DESCRIPTION AND GOALS
World History 9 is a rigorous course that is meant to serve as an introduction to the history of mankind. This yearlong course analyzes the development of history from our earliest ancestors to the study of issues facing our modern society. To be successful in this course it is necessary to put forth your best effort and unlock your curiosity about the past. The course will help you build your reading and writing skills, as well as your ability to analyze conflicting sources of information. These skills will be mastered as you complete history labs, and document based writing activities. This will not look like your typical history course; you will actually become a working historian.
