It was a near perfect day Friday (May 9) for the Matt Kero Memorial Invitational.
Denfeld completed against 14 area schools, along with a one from the Twin Cities area (Hastings).

It rained the whole game. That nice, steady drizzle with plenty of wind. Oh, and the temperature was just above freezing, so the damp cold would really chill you to the bone.
The Duluth Wolfpack led 2-0, but trailed 5-2 at halftime against Cloquet. But the team would come back strong in the second half to win going away and improve to 2-0 on the season.
