About Allie
Allie Lien is originally from Hawley, Minnesota and is a 2011 graduate from Hawley High School. She obtained her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Business Administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead. After working for a bank in the mortgage department for several years, she decided to attend graduate school and pursue her dream of becoming a school counselor. In May 2020, she earned a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Minnesota State University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to her lake cabin on Rush Lake and being in the outdoors.
What's happening in the Elementary?
Elementary students started Second Step lessons this month with Ms. Lien. Twice a month, she is going into the classroom and teaching a social/emotional learning lesson to the students. Each grade is learning about something different. Some of the main topics students will learn during this time are: Skills for Learning, Empathy, Problem Solving, Bullying/Respect and Managing Emotions. Click here to learn more about Second Step!
The Backpack Program is back!
A great opportunity is available at Fertile-Beltrami School the elementary students are invited to participate in, the Backpack Program. We partnered with the North Country Food Bank to provide students with food over the weekends or holiday breaks. Letters have been sent home to families by classroom teachers. The deadline to sign up is Friday, October 1st, 2022.
