5th Grade Science

In 5th grade science we focus on collecting evidence, making fair experiments, and developing our reasoning and communication skills. By the end of 5th grade you should be able to come up with good answers to the following questions.

5. Why do we believe that the universe is a really, really big place?

7. Why is it kind of true to say that corn is nothing more than air and water?

8. How is the sun required to make a hamburger?

9. What are invasive species and why are they a problem?

10. Explain that energy can be transformed into different types of energy.

11. How do we use measurements in science?

12. Why does it take so much fuel to send a spaceship into space?

13. How can we use the sun to make sound?
