We got to have a final sports theme event at the Honkers, we had a meal included in the fundraiser, we had lighting and thunder, and most of the Wildcat Students got to participate in one of the kid's games they had. We even had prizes for our families; thank our donors, Rocca Rock Climbing, Minnesota Rush, and Rochester Skating Club.
We got to have another fundraiser meal at a new restaurant in town.
May was another busy month!
Staff Appreciation was a great one once again. We had a great time honoring all the staff with a punch game, a prize for everyone. It was all sports theme prices as well. Thank you to all the families who helped with the food, and prizes.
Dear Parent/Guardians,
Thank you to those of you who provided your feedback on the PTA survey that was sent out in January. We were planning to have a meeting to discuss the survey results in February, but it had to be canceled due to inclement weather. Please consider coming to school for an informal conversation with Mrs, Wichmann and Mrs. Lee to discuss the results of the survey and what we are planning to do with the feedback we received. You can come to the Sunset Terrace Media Center anytime between 8:00 and 9:00 on Wednesday, April 12. Coffee and muffins will be provided by our PTA.
Current small toy playground is overdue to be replaced for the last 10 years.
Spring 2023 will be keeping up busy with the planning on fundraising for the Small Toy in the School Playground. We got an estimate of the cost to be around $55,000. A few families visited the new schools on a cold weekend morning with the future SST Students and current ones. So we now wait to get a proper cost confirmation.
If you want to help in any way, please reach out as we will need all the help we can to get funds from businesses nation wide.
Read-A-Thon 2023 is underway (March and April) and we kept it a sports theme!
We are a few days away from the end of the fundraiser.
This is our only school-wide fundraising event that directly involves every student of Sunset Terrace. Three (3) full weeks of fundraising to follow!
The Sunset Terrace PTA raises money to provide an enhanced educational experience for Sunset Terrace students. The Read-A-Thon proceeds will be used for classroom enrichment, student incentives, staff appreciation and so much more! Thanks in advance for your support.
Throughout the year, the PTA funds & executes programs that enhance student learning in many different areas, such as reading, creative writing, & art. In addition, funds also support our fantastic teachers with annual teacher honorariums, field trip funds to ensure all students can attend their class field trips, Yaya Conference, Quarry Hill field trips, Fifth Grade Recognition, & this year we got a Mascot, just to name a few.
