Southeast MN has many local accessible amenities to try out this season, including Trackchairs, adaptive bikes, cave tours, water activities, nature playgrounds and camping. Southeast Minnesota parks and trails have something for everyone!

AccessABLE Recreation offers year-round programs include swimming, bowling, soccer, softball, music therapy, choir, crafts, movie night, dances, summer day camps, etc.

Down to Box: empowers individuals with Down syndrome, autism, and other special abilities by providing them tools to gain skills in coordination, self-defense and physical fitness through boxing techniques. 

Rochester Public Schools Adapted Athletics (Physical Impairment Division): is a MN State High School League varsity level sport. This is an opportunity for athletes with a physical impairment to play adapted floor hockey at a competitive level.

Department of Natural Resources (DNR): A plethora of information about biking and in-line skating, Geocaching Program, Junior Park Naturalist program, Outdoor Family Activities, Rockhound spots, State parks summer starter kit, and state trails to hike and bike. Free indoor activities such as printable coloring books, activity books, fun fishing quiz, and so much more! 

Renewing Hope for Kids Inc. (RH4K) seeks to provide extraordinary opportunities for children with special needs and their families.  

Quarry Hill Nature Center: offers nature hiking trails, fossil hunting, and year-round nature programs for all ages.

Ironwood Springs Ranch: wilderness and outdoor experiences via Wheelchair Sports Camp, various horseback riding week-long and day camps, teen camps, grandparent and grandchild camp, family camp, and more! 

PossAbilities of Southern MN: offers opportunities in Supported Employment, Life Enrichment, Senior Services, Alzheimer’s and Dementia programs, School-to-Work, and Youth Recreation (after school and summer).

Rochester Community Education Adults with Exceptional Abilities: offers classes in the areas of Hobbies and Crafts, Leisure, Physical Fitness, Music and Art, and Community Awareness. A Fall, Winter, and Spring brochure can be mailed directly to your home or group home.
