Safety is at the heart of Running Back Tradition.

From the moment our runners leave Chisago Lakes High School until the football arrives safely at Princeton High School, our runners will be accompanied by law enforcement along the route.

As the relay travels through different communities and jurisdictions, participating law enforcement agencies will coordinate the handoff of escort responsibilities, providing our student-athletes with a continuous safety presence throughout their nearly 50-mile journey.

Princeton High School and Student Council extend our sincere appreciation to the officers, deputies, dispatchers, departments, sheriff's offices, and support staff working together to make this event possible.
