This session provided a variety of K-5 staff from different grade levels and subject areas with an adult-level Breakout EDU experience entitled "Faculty Meeting." We followed this up with a discussion about how Breakouts can be utilized in younger grades, as well as some resources on where to locate pre-made Breakouts and how to go about creating your own.

This session focused on some research-based strategies for integrating reading strategies into a variety of content and subject areas. Ruth Hamlow, a high school English teacher, presented the strategies and research behind them. These were supplemented with technology tools that fit with the strategies presented.
