Kindergarten

During the first week of school, kindergarten students will follow a special schedule to help ease the transition into the school year.

Each child will attend one full day with a temporary teacher assignment, and parents will join for part of the morning. This day helps students get comfortable with school routines and gives us time to assess early literacy and other foundational skills.

After these assessments, students will be assigned to their classroom teacher for the full school year.

On Friday afternoon, families are invited to meet their child’s assigned teacher and bring any needed school supplies.

Regular kindergarten days begin the following Monday.

WEST Kindergarten First Week

Friday, September 5th

• 12:00-2:00pm, Kindergarten classroom visits with assigned teachers.

We will communicate more specifics prior to the start.
