KaBoom is the local off-season JO volleyball program. (Register Below)
About: PEM KaBoom Volleyball invites girls in grades 4-12 to play volleyball with our teams.
Often referred to as “JO volleyball,” this program allows girls at all levels to enhance their skills by playing at weekly practice and local tournaments. The season runs from January through mid-April.
Practices will be on Sunday afternoons for 2-3 hours at the PEM HS gym or the 4/6 building in Elgin, starting in early January.
Fees will vary depending on how many girls participate and how many events are chosen to play in. This covers the cost of membership fees, gym rental, jerseys, tournament entry fees, coaching fees, and equipment. Girls are responsible for their own knee pads, shorts, and shoes.
Fundraising is available every fall and spring with Gertens plant sales. This is very reasonable compared to fees on larger club teams. Again, the exact fee is only known once we have our teams decided; that gives you a ballpark figure.
This program does require a very high level of involvement! As a parent, you are responsible for getting your daughter to and from practice and events or setting up an alternative arrangement. We will have a parent meeting to discuss the upcoming season during tryouts.

The Gerten's fundraisers are during the fall and spring. This fundraiser is to help offset fees for ANY off-season volleyball club team and for any volleyball camps your athlete wants to partake in.
