Meet Mrs. Scheel

Hello! My name is Mindy Scheel, and this is my 18th  year teaching at PEM Elementary. Prior to coming to PEM, I taught second grade for five years with the Rochester Catholic Schools.

I graduated from Winona State University in Winona, MN with a BA in Elementary Education. I also obtained my Master's in Teaching and Learning from Winona State University.

My husband, Mike, and I have been married for 24 years. We have one son, Cole, who is 19. He is heading to UWRF this fall hoping to make the baseball team agian his sophmore year. We also have a 14 year old daughter, Ava, who is excited to be a a freshman at WK. She loves volleyball, dance and softball. I love being a mom! We cherish our time together as a family. In my free time I enjoy boating, reading, walking, and spending time with my family and friends.

I am excited to be teaching such a terrific group of first graders this year! I look forward to all the FUN we are going to have in first grade!!
