IXL

IXL is a web-based computer program that allows students to complete practice problems tied directly to our school curriculum and tailored to their current learning level. The program will automatically adjust the level of difficulty while students are working based upon their performance on previous questions. Another benefit to the program is that the lessons are linked directly to our Minnesota Academic

Standards, and the practice sessions are designed to look and feel very similar to the MCA computerized tests students take at the end of the year. IXL should be a helpful tool both in the learning process and in preparing students to succeed on the MCA test.

Students will be using IXL in school throughout the year to get individualized practice on each of the Minnesota Academic Standards for Math as they are studied in class. In addition, students are encouraged to spend some time outside of class working on IXL to continue practicing and keep up with any lessons for which they might need to spend a little extra time. Please remember to work on IXL lessons

in the order in which concepts are studied in class, rather than the order in which they appear on the screen. The lessons are listed in the correct order below, and the checklist can also be downloaded and printed using the link at the bottom of this page.
