Team Sports
This class will meet every day this semester. A variety of indoor and outdoor units will be covered, all of which are considered team sports. All units will be approximately 2 weeks. The instructor will teach the rules, skills, and strategies of each unit, as well as possible lead-up games. After that student leadership groups will be responsible for the set up of fields and/or equipment, designation of teams, and format of competition. Leadership groups and units will be assigned by the instructor. Approximately 1 day per week, usually Fridays, a non-unit, recreational, sometimes recently invented, game will be played with an emphasis on fun and teamwork. Furthermore this course will look, not only to increase physical abilities, but also to strengthen character as well through the emphasis of core values.
