Publications: Yearbook

Publications: Yearbook is a class in which students are tasked with producing a timeless, creative, and innovative publication which will record our school’s memories and events, the JWP School Yearbook, for both high school and elementary school. To produce complete yearbooks, students are required to attend school activities (during and after school) to take photographs and gather information to be used in the yearbook. The work is largely project-based, requiring both independent work and group management skills for success — a critical career skill in an ever-evolving work environment. Students use graphic design software and professional cameras to learn the basics of digital storytelling, reporting, photography as part of 21st-century communications. Students also gain experience with social media, advertising, and marketing.

Publications: School Newspaper

The work is largely project-based, requiring both independent work and group management skills for success — a critical career skill in an ever-evolving work environment. This work enables them to practice real-world deadline skills as well. The JWP school news magazine is published online, monthly.
