- At the middle school level, DAPE teachers mostly use a push-in model to the general physical education class
- Students participate with their peers with extra support and modified games and activities
- Students get a mix of skill development and team games/activities
- At the high school level, DAPE classes are directed to life-leisure activities that can be played with family and friends in the community, as well as fitness and wellness to live a healthy life.
- Some of the units we cover include bocce ball, disc golf, miniature golf, bag toss, snowshoeing, darts, table tennis, weight lifting/cardiovascular conditioning, fishing and yoga.
- Students follow the Bloomington standards that require to understand good sportsmanship along with fitness for life.
