Head Coach, Erik Leafblad, PhD

Coach Leafblad begins his third season at the helm of the Blaze boys basketball program, after one year as an assistant coach, and five years in youth development and traveling team coaching. Leafblad has a 12-41 record over his first two seasons as he has sought to bring stability to a program that had been in a period of prolonged transition. With his emphasis on what he calls the Burnsville ecosystem of TRUST, Coach Leafblad leads the program with high expectations focused on relationship-building rooted in a culture of constant improvement. Leafblad's aspirations are to see a player-led program that becomes a consistent competitor within the South Suburban Conference and section 3AAAA
