The Century Club promotes and tracks physical activity outside of school. The goal is to earn 100 points by the last day of school. A student can earn up to 2 points per day if they are involved in a vigorous 15 minute or more activity. Vigorous activities like running, biking, soccer, or basketball make your heart rate go up and they make you sweat. The student can earn 1 point per day if they participate in light activity like bowling, walking, or light playing. The maximum points are 2 points per day. Each day your child earns points, write the points on the calendar, add up the total for the month, and have your child return the calendar to the "Century Club Mailbox" in the gym. There will be prizes each time a student achieves CENTURY CLUB status. Students also earn colored bracelets to show what level they are at for the Century Club. 100 Points =Green, 200 Points = Blue, 300 Points = Red, and 400 Points = Yellow Glow in the Dark. Parent support, goal setting, and physical activity will make this program successful. Your child will benefit from the physical activity.
