My name is Jamie Studnicka and I have been teaching in since 2003. I taught in ISD#15 St. Francis for 14 years. This will be my second year in ISD#112 Eastern Carver County. I received my BS in physical education from University of Wisconsin - La Crosse and received my MS in teaching from St Mary's University of Winona. I also have a degree in Law Enforcement from North Hennepin Community College. Prior to teaching I served in the United States Marine Corps.

I live in Chanhassen with my wife Rachel and three boys: Austin (21), Brady (17), and James (9). My hobbies include anything active. I love being outside. My favorite activities are swimming, farming, basketball, and boot hockey. I also love to travel. I have been to 16 foreign countries.

I believe in a healthy active lifestyle. One of the most important keys to good health is activity. I think it is important for students to develop the necessary skills in order to have the confidence to participate in physical activity. My goal is for kids to be active 60 min per day. Remember we can model a health active lifestyle for our kids.
