Indian Springs School District #109 is a public school district serving three communities in southwest Cook County, Illinois. Our school district serves all of the community of Justice, most of the Village of Bridgeview, and part of the town of Hickory Hills. Our Early Childhood Center, four elementary (K-6) schools, and one junior high school (7-8) are attendance centers for our enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. We are a diverse learning community in which over a third of our students speak English as their second language. The prominent languages include English, Arabic, Polish, and Spanish.
Our Early Childhood Center offers Pre-School Enrichment and Early Childhood Special Education. We have a full-day kindergarten in all of our elementary schools. Our teacher-pupil ratio is 24 to 1. We offer special academic programs for our gifted and talented learners and for our students with disabilities. Our curriculum is based on State and National Learning Standards. We offer a wide variety of academic and athletic programs including Spanish, Accelerated Math and ELA. We provide athletic programs such as basketball, volleyball, track, etc. We also celebrate the arts in our school district by providing art classes and expos. We are very proud of our music program and we have a strong membership in our band and orchestra ensembles for students in grades 4-8.
