"The Classroom Engagement Model (CEM) is a set of research–based teaching practices that increase engagement and full participation of every child. Increased engagement leads to more learning, increased skill acquisition, and better outcomes for children."
We have been working hard to provide your children with the best educational experiences possible! Using the Classroom Engagement Model (CEM) Checklist we have been able to track our program’s progress on how well we, as educators, are implementing the research-based, best practices for educating young children.
The data is in and we have reached 97% overall key practices!
The graphs below and to the right show our progress on our programs integration of CEM throughout the last 3 years. I like to think of this part as "the behind the scenes” portion. The sections are assessed by these subdivisions:
Establish Implementation Team
Staff Readiness and Buy-In
Family Engagement
Program-Wide Action Plan
All Classrooms Demonstration Implementation of Evidence-Based Practices
Procedures for Responding to Individual Children
Staff Capacity- Building and Support
Monitoring Implementation and Outcomes
The graph to the right shows the overall scores we received for each of our BoQs that have been completed over the last 3 years.
The data shows that we are now at 98.44% integration!
