The course consists of fun and engaging language games that will aim to strengthen overall understanding and expression of language. These games will target vocabulary, memory, listening skills, word-retrieval, among other language skills. The skills will be practiced in a fun and playful way to increase attention, social interaction, and confidence.
Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to identify and use strategies that will improve their vocabulary skills and ability to store and retrieve new words, make associations between words, and use new vocabulary words appropriately.
Students will demonstrate improved listening and memory skills by learning strategies that improves their attention and ability to follow complex directions during a variety of language enriching games.
Students will be able to improve their abilities to express themselves by using description and narrative games to expand their language and encourage creative story-telling.

Did you know that Switzerland is the home of the International Olympic Committee? Come join Mr. Hopkins as we discover past, present, and future of the Olympics.
In this 10-lesson project based learning activity, students will discover the wide world of the Olympic Games, each of the sports, famous athletes, and much more. Students will research and create their own projects in order to obtain deeper understanding of the Olympic Games and how it unites the international community.

Student Audience: Grades 3-4
This class will be mainly focused on writing, but in creative ways. Students will have the opportunity to enhance their writing skills by creating short stories, poems, etc., while using literary elements and other writing techniques and structures.
Learning Outcomes:
The students will be able to express themselves and their ideas through multiple ways of creative writing over the course of the Summer DLP.
The students will be able to work together by collaborating with their peers online and writing creatively to design books, short stories, poems, etc. over the course of the Summer DLP.
The students will be able to increase their knowledge of the English writing structure by using literary elements within their writing over the course of the Summer DLP.

Student Audience: Grades 3-6
Pre-requisite: At least one year of German
During this course, students use their German skills in a fun and creative way to write their own comic book stories. Students will identify the elements of a good comic strip through reading some examples in German. They will collaborate on ideas with their peers online. They will plan their own stories and use a digital programme such as Book Creator, Storyboard That, Make Beliefs Comix to make their own stories. The emphasis will be on having fun learning.

Instructor: Lucilla Papa (Grade 1)
Student Audience: Grades 1-3
During this art course students will be invited to create different art pieces focusing on specific techniques and elements of art. Students will learn about the lives of famous artists and get familiar with art vocabulary. They will be able to describe their artworks as well as the one of other artists. It is a course design to have fun, build confidence and improve the art skills and communication skills of the students.
