Research Support
Research Skills are essential to help our students become independent thinkers. ISB has identified a well articulated set of Research Skills which are vertically aligned between all sections of the school. Delivering lessons to develop these skills as well as opportunities for reflection is a team effort involving every single teacher at the school. The role of the Teacher Librarian in this is both in the maintenance of good online and print resources as well as providing in classroom support.
In classroom support. Our Teacher Librarian is fully embedded in one Social Studies Research Unit each school year. During this unit the TL coordinates closely with the Grade level teachers on helping deliver and assess the reserach skills highlighted in this unit.
