Robotics Education

I've been teaching robotics at the middle and high school level since 2010.

I have been coaching VEX robotics as a HS club in 20011. 

Robotics is an amazing tool for students to learn the iterative and design cycle. I love giving open-ended challenges to my students and seeing how they respond to them. Robotics as a competition is also an amazing learning tool.

In my opinion, there's no better tool for teaching the importance of failure as a legitimate part of the design process than robotics. It allows for rapid prototyping, evaluation, and redesign. Robotics also naturally lends itself to differentiation, which supports all learning types in the technology classroom. 

I have been coaching competitive VEX Robotics at the high school level since 2011. I love coaching robotics. It's an amazing opportunity for students to push themselves in STEM, compete with other students on a high level, represent their school, work under pressure, and forge friendships.
