Building the KIS High School STEM Suite

In 2017 KIS decided to construct a space in the high school for robotics, computer science, design, and technology. Thus the KIS STEM Suite was born.

Students in CAD designed and researched makerspaces and design facilities, and created a plan for an all-encompassing area. The students presented their plans for the space to administration and the business office.

The school took the students' suggestions seriously, and used their plans as a jumping off point. This is design thinking at its best and most authentic.

The initial plan, and the open space.
