HISTORICAL FICTION 

Students in 8th Grade read the novel Uprising by Margeret Peterson Haddix  in English class, while studying the impact of Immigration and the Industrial Revolution in  Social Studies class.  Students where then asked to write their own Historical Fiction stories using their historical context learned in social studies as well as narrative elements learned in English Class.
