Competitions

The first ever CIS Game Jam is here and the theme is Life! Students aged 8-12 across the globe can create their own Makecode Arcade video games and win prizes, including chances to join Innovation Lab this summer! The games must be connected to the Theme of Life. The game must be the original work of the participant. The deadline for game submissions is January 30th. 

Theme: LIFE
Dates: January 7 - January 30, 2026
Platform: MakeCode Arcade
Ages: 8-12 years old
Scope: CIS students + schools around the globe
Format: Individual submissions only

Judging will take place by a group of game developers and educators. The judges will look at:

• Theme Interpretation

• Gameplay & Fun Factor

• Art & Visuals

• Sound & Music

• Technical Polish

• Creativity & Originality
