Adventure Week is a week of hands-on experiential learning activities outside the classroom that will enhance the students interpersonal and leadership skills. All students have the opportunity to choose from an international destination or stay in Hong Kong for local activities and camps.
Participation in Adventure Week is mandatory for all students from Year 7 - Year 13. New students joining in August 2025 are also expected to participate in Adventure Week.
Adventure Week starts on 17th November 2024 and ends on 21st November 2025. There will be no classes during this time and no teacher supervision will be available for any student who is not participating in Adventure Week. All students will be back to school on Monday, 24th November.
We endeavor to allocate the students’ first or second option to them. However, this is not guaranteed. Allocations depend on many factors like student numbers, availability of hotels and flights, etc. If a destination is oversubscribed, a first-come-first basis may be used as a deciding factor.
Once the final student lists go to our external partners, it can be very difficult to make changes. You may lose your deposit if you request to drop out of a trip in the later stages of trip planning.
Due to the necessity of advanced bookings and trip payments, refunds can only be provided on a case-by-case basis and are subject to the conditions established by our vendors.
Please fill in this form and submit it to the General Office if necessary for SY 24-25 trips held.
Deposit will be refunded in full if a student is leaving KIS.
Students have to arrange their own visas. Students need to check the visa requirement for their passport themselves. Teachers cannot verify if the visa obtained by students is valid or not. To facilitate the visa process, the trips coordinator will provide a visa letter for the students who need it.
Please email secondarytrips@kis.edu.hk should you require a visa letter.
