Teresa L. Ward

Hello, I am Teresa L. Ward. I'm married to Freddie Ward with three adult children: DeVario, Deja and Louie. We also have a two-year old English bulldog named Cookie. I was raised in Jacksonville, Georgia, but now I reside in Douglas, Georgia. My hobbies include reading, writing letters, and shopping. My favorite color is emerald green, and I love to collect elephants. Some of my favorite authors are Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes and John Grisham.

In May of 1990 I graduated from Telfair County High School in McRae, Georgia. I earned my bachelor's degree from Georgia Southern University in August 1995. In 2002 through the education program at Valdosta State University is where I earned my middle grades certification, and I earned my Specialist's Degree from Georgia College & State University in December 2009. For the past 19 years, I have been teaching middle school, and I taught every grade level in middle school. I am excited to be teaching my 1st year on the elementary level. I love to see when the light bulb clicks for my students. Teaching is a great profession!
