Russell Wilson is the Orchestra Director at MacArthur High School, where he leads the string orchestra program. He previously served as assistant orchestra director at Travis, Sam Houston, and Lady Bird Johnson Middle Schools. Mr. Wilson believes every student has a place in orchestra, and is committed to building a program where students feel supported and challenged at their current ability level. Rehearsals balance high standards with genuine encouragement — students are expected to work hard and grow, while knowing they're valued as individuals along the way.

A violist by training, he has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and as Principal Viola of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Wilson attended the Longy School of Music and The Hartt School at The University of Hartford.
