The $50 Fair Share fee covers the basics of a MacArthur Orchestra membership — but it doesn't come close to the full cost of running a program at this level. Fundraising is what closes that gap, and it goes directly toward things every student in the program benefits from:

• Music and strings

• Guest clinicians and masterclass teachers

• UIL and festival entry fees

• Transportation

• Subsidizing chaperone costs on the spring performance trip

• Annual orchestra banquet

• Student awards

• Orchestra t-shirts

• Social events

Every dollar raised goes back into the experience your student is part of every day — not just the big, visible things like the spring trip, but the everyday details that make rehearsal and performance possible.

Ways to help, beyond fundraising 

If you're looking for another way to support the program, we'd love to have you:

• Volunteer as a chaperone on a trip or at an event

• Share your own skills and know-how — whether that's event planning, fundraising experience, marketing, or something else entirely, let us know what you're good at and we'll find a place for it
