Filling out the FAFSA--Portal Opening October 1st, 2022!
The FAFSA stands for Free Federal Student Financial Aid. Most students who apply will be eligible to receive federal loans, scholarships, grants and be eligible to participate in work-study programs to help families pay for the cost of college. If you are applying to a four year college or a two year community college you must fill this form out! ANYONE (no really, anyone) can fill out the FAFSA for FREE. You will need to sit down with your parents or legal guardians and work together to complete this form as it will require tax information. The FAFSA portal opens on October 1,2022 so start filling it out as soon as possible!!!!
The second and final FAFSA completion night will be held on Tuesday, December 6th at 6pm. We will meet in the library. Please create your FSA ID in advance. This will help ensure that you get your FAFSA completed during the event. The student and parent each need their own FSA ID. Go to www.studentaid.gov to create your FSA ID.
