Notify Management: Provide a written Notice to Vacate at least 30 days before your planned move-out date. You can either mail it to us, email it to us, or drop it off at the office.
If you’re preparing to move out, you can refer to the Notice to Vacate Example to understand the proper format for submitting your notice.

Schedule a Pre-Move-Out Inspection: Contact our office to arrange an inspection before your final day. This is not the final walkthrough inspection but an opportunity for us to help identify items that need to be fixed or replaced to avoid deductions during the final inspection.
Schedule the Walkthrough
Once we receive your move-out date request, we’ll arrange a walkthrough to inspect the condition of the unit.
Review of Move-In Checklist
When you first moved in, we provided a checklist to document the unit's condition. We’ll use the same checklist to assess the condition when you move out.
For your convenience, we’ve provided a detailed Cleaning Checklist to help ensure your unit is left in good condition.

Prepare for Inspection
Before the walkthrough, please ensure that:
All personal belongings are removed from the unit.
Keys, remotes, and any other property (such as garage openers) are ready to be returned.
The unit is clean and free of damage, beyond normal wear and tear. Refer back to the lease agreement's security deposit section for more details.
Inspection and Final Agreement
During the walkthrough, we’ll inspect the unit and note any damages or issues. Both you and the property manager will sign the checklist to confirm the unit's condition.
Inspection Process: A final inspection will determine any deductions for damage or excessive cleaning.
Closing Statement: After being processed, a closing statement, including any applicable refund will be mailed to the forwarding address provided.
Forwarding Address: Submit a forwarding address for your deposit and mail.
Utility Accounts: Ensure all utility accounts are closed or transferred.
Plan Ahead: Start preparing for your move-out at least a few weeks in advance to avoid last-minute stress.
Create a checklist of tasks to complete.
Schedule movers or transportation early if needed.
Thorough Cleaning: Pay attention to commonly missed areas like behind appliances, ceiling fans, and baseboards. Leaving the unit spotless can help ensure a smoother refund process.
Document Everything: Take photos of the cleaned unit and any repairs you’ve made. This provides proof of the unit’s condition at move-out.
Check the Lease Agreement: Familiarize yourself with the entire rental agreement, including the payment terms, maintenance responsibilities, and any addendums, to ensure you meet all expectations and avoid additional charges.
Use the Pre-Move-Out Inspection: Treat this inspection as a guide to address potential deductions. Fix or replace anything noted during the inspection.
Dispose Responsibly: Avoid leaving unwanted items or trash behind. If you overload the trash bins or leave trash around from dumping everything at once, you may be charged for cleanup and/or extra trash fees. Arrange for proper disposal or donations to local charities.
Change Address: Make sure to update your address with the postal service (USPS) to forward any mail to your new address. This will help ensure that all important documents, bills, and packages are sent to your new home. You can do this easily online or at your local post office. Additionally, don't forget to update your address with:
Banks and credit card companies
Utility providers (gas, electricity, internet)
Insurance companies
Subscriptions (magazines, memberships, etc.)
Your employer for payroll and tax documents
Healthcare providers and pharmacies
By updating your address, you can avoid missing important mail and stay on top of any correspondence during your move.
