Animal Report

Directions:

1 - Choose an animal that lives in the wild.



2 - With the help of your parents, research information about your animal - the links below have

great information.



3 - Write the information on the - Animal Research Outline - that was sent home.



4 - Write or type the information into a report with the following paragraphs.

1 - Appearance and diet - to earn the maximum amount of points in this section, you will want

to introduce your animal and then list 3-4 facts about what the animal looks like and 3-4

facts about what they eat, prey on, or by what they get preyed on.

2 - Life cycle and living conditions - To earn the maximum amount of points for this section

you will want to describe the stages of your animal's life cycle and also mention the

conditions/home in which your animal lives.

3 - Animal Habitat - To earn the maximum amount of points for this section you will want to

state the habitat where your animal can be found (ie. desert, wetland, forest, ocean,

tundra, etc.), why this habitat best suits your animal's needs, AND why other habitats would not be a good fit for your animal.

4 - Interesting facts - Every animal is unique and different in their own ways so it's a given

that along the way your child will stumble upon many different interesting facts about

their animal. In this paragraph, take the time to state 3-4 unusual or interesting facts about

your animal to earn the maximum points.

5 - Cite your references (where did you get the information)



5 - Create a visual presentation to show the class while presenting about the animal.
