Global History & Geography I is offered to all students as a Regents level course. It focuses on a chronological approach to a study of the ancient world. History, geography, economics, and government will be stressed and students will be expected to be able to make connections between regions and time periods.
Grades are based on map work, essays, projects, extended time tasks, as well as traditional homework assignments and tests. Classwork and homework assignments make up the majority of the final grade; the final test counts 1/5th. At the end of the course students will take a school exam.
