Greetings!
I am Mrs. Hughes. Thank you for stopping by my web page. The 2023-2024 school year will be my seventeenth year in an Early Childhood classroom and my fifth year at Antwerp Primary. I have eight years experience in prekindergarten, one year in second grade, and this will be my eighth year of teaching kindergarten.
Kindergarten is an amazing year. Students learn so much and grow in so many ways. I can't wait to see what is in store for this year! It's amazing how much I learn from my students every year. Each group of students bring their own gifts and challenges to our school year and together we learn how to make the best choices together to achieve the highest level of learning.
Learning is a life long process and I am honored to be given the chance to instill a love of learning for your child. Having a safe and nurturing environment early on in one's education is key to establishing that love of learning.
