Spelling Words

Students will spend the first ten weeks on the "no excuse" words which are K-2 sight words they should already know how to spell. This will help them to review/relearn any sight words they still have not mastered. Following that each week a new spelling pattern based on the developmental spelling program will be introduced to your child in class. Students will learn the "rules" associated with each new pattern and throughout the week will participate in practice activities. We will not have traditional tests but will instead focus on spelling words correctly in our written work.
