Buenos dias! My name is Nancy Thornthwaite and I'm excited to be your child's Spanish teacher for this year. This is my 15th year teaching in the District. I actually taught back here in the 1990s and some of you might remember be as Ms. Eberwein. I married a soldier and took early "retirement" to raise our four children while my husband was deployed. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and Education from SUNY Fredonia. I studied for a year in the Universidad de Salamanca, Spain. I also received my Master's Degree in Reading from SUNY Potsdam. I'm looking forward to exploring "Hispanic culture and the Spanish language" through speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities with my students. We will spend the year learning how to communicate effectively with others.
