Behavior Chart

At the beginning of each day, every child's name begins on 'Doing My Job'. If a child is doing a great job and following all classroom rules, he or she may be asked to move their name up to 'Role Model'. If a child is having difficulty following a classroom rule, he or she will first be given a verbal reminder. If the child does not correct the behavior, he or she will be asked to move their name down to 'Extra Practice'. Extra practice is a five minute long reteaching of the behavior the child is struggling with. For example, if a child is having a difficult time using a calm body or quiet voice during carpet time, he or she will practice that for five minutes before beginning their playtime. More serious behaviors, like hitting or inappropriate language, will result in an immediate visit to the principal's office.
